YOU DON’T STAY IN EGYPT AND GET TRANSFORMED, ISRAELITES MUST LEAVE FOR TO WORSHIP BY CLEMENT AANUOLUWAPO
Each person in your life is a wave current, taking towards your dream and purpose, or taking you away from it; no middle ground.
If your close circle of friends still remains the same set of people you are intimate with after you are born again, especially those that encourage sin/keep you in sin; then you are not ready to go far, you need to use the exit door as a matter of urgency.
Abraham, I want to use you, get out from your country, and from your father’s house, your ideologies and system of life, your association with idolatry.
If you don’t, they’ll cloud your perception, blunt your axe and halt my dealings with you. Same with Moses, he had to exit Egypt to be made.
The friendship of Amnon with Jonadab implicated Amnon in mindset and ideologies, as his friend inspired him on strategy to defile his sister Tamar.
Worthy of note is to know that the renewal of mind the Bible talks about is a gradual and continuous process till maturity. Your association goes a long way in this too.
Don’t be too sure and over confident; if you cannot beat them, joining them is inevitable. Evil communication still corrupts good manners. Get out from among them, and be separate.
There are people you actually think you cannot do without, that’s manipulation, it’s not true. God is the only one that is indispensable in your life.
Precious relationships have and would still come your way, cherish them… desist from the act of throwing real people away like waste water; good old friends are like ladders, don’t forget them for new found relationships!
The company of fools would be destroyed. Don’t walk with them, help them. Bitter but true! Especially those of foolishness and poverty in mindset (not resources), don’t be deceived, it does not matter if they’re rich or not.
It is neither wickedness nor pride, it is a realm called self-loyalty. You need to be more loyal to your future than you are to your past.
Walk with the wise and you shall be wise. Well, it’s not pride really, it’s called class. Where on earth have you seen eagles walk with ducks?
What’s your association like? You must graduate from friends that keep company to friends that feed destiny. Shalom!
