There are people who fell into sin, and on their way to stagger out of the pool of iniquity, fierce reactions and embarrassment from brethren got them destabilized, depressed and consequently drowned!
Many people have been discouraged by the manner of approach people around them gave to their situations.
Those who ought to become their support systems of restoration exposed them for attacks and humiliated them scornfully. How about those whose cases became topics of sermon and admonition?
This is not to give room for laxity and unhealthy living, but do not condemn them, reach out to them instead and if you don’t have capacity to, refer them to the appropriate individuals!
When you, in like manner also, see a wounded soldier of Christ, please do not backbite!
The primary function of the Holy Spirit in you is to make you a witness from your very own Jerusalem to the uppermost part of the world.
Do not substitute restoration with backbiting and soul winning with condemnation; stop blaming and condemning people for their mistakes, rather help them out of the dungeon!
‘Aba, you are not the Jesus that died for them fah’, even the Lord Jesus had compassion on sinners and forgave them!
The battle for the contention of the souls of men is not war towards the sinner, but a reaching out in love through evangelism and letting the Holy Spirit do His work of conviction.
We have neither received the religion of condemnation nor judgment; reach out to the lost souls, rescue the perishing! God does not hate them but the nature of sin in them.
Lose not your guard that you be not overtaken in a fault and the plague of sin through carelessness and disobedience.
And if you are, return to the fountain flowing at Calvary, that your burdens be lifted! May strength be supplied to everyone out there; Amen!! Shalom!!! 2 Corinthians 5:18-21.
