A man cannot tell of a surety of his tendencies to not fall/bow to mammon until there is certainty of victory over an equivalent temptation enough to change his story overnight, with no possibility of getting caught.
You see, God can take men away from Egypt and they can take Egypt with them inside their hearts on their journey to the Promised Land.
And unless Egypt is taken away from their hearts (by the saving of their souls- Hebrews 10:39b), they would one day forget manna to want to go back to eat garlic in Egypt. Numbers 11:5; 14:4
God has delivered you from Egypt with no intention of taking you back there; do not run back because of present seemingly unpleasant circumstances. We are not of them that draw back unto perdition… Hebrews 10:39a
One of the reasons men chicken out is because of weak foundations and shallow mentality in things pertaining to life and Godliness. Strive to grow roots downwards, in depth and stability, to bear fruits upwards.
You might have been to Egypt on your own accord, but the Lord has taken you out from Egypt that you may worship him in Spirit and in truth, do not return there.
Though there are trials on the way, do not be afraid, nothing great/precious comes easy. He never said the road is going to be smooth, but you can be sure of a perfect end! Shalom!
