TAKE CARE OF YOUR BLINDSPOT EPISODE ONE

In optometry, blind spot refers to the point of entry of the optic nerve on the retina. This pin-head site is insensitive to light owing to its lack of photoreceptors; hence, creating a blind spot.

As it is for the eyes, so it is for men. There is usually an area where one's view is obstructed, especially about one’s way of life. It could be your character, your emotions, your disposition to things or resource management (human, time, finance, etc).

Sometimes, you do things you never thought you could, but life happened and you flopped.

It is a level of blessing, however, to have someone call your attention such a blind spot in your life. When you have friends who do this for you and save your ass, don’t fight them; but rather, cherish them!

A driver faces the windscreen while driving and cannot see what’s behind, but the rear-view mirror takes care of the blind spots on both sides of the car. Your rare view mirror can be your spouse, family members, colleagues, friends or foes.

There is a Yoruba adage that states in interpretation that, a lantern cannot lighten (see) its bottom, irrespective of how bright it shines. This is very true and also resonates with human beings too.

Instead of brawling at people when they call your attention to a dent in you, be humble to see from their point of view. It may be a blind spot you are not even aware of, which everybody else sees; that’s why there is something as called ‘PERSPECTIVES’. To be continued, stay connected!
