Why should a man keep revolving round what does not work? The lack of results at an endeavour does not mean to put additional efforts into it.
More effort without additional wisdom is the recipe for weariness, tiredness and frustration. In the display of frustrations and fruits, effort is required, but the addition of extra oil made the difference.
When what you do does not produce result, it will be so unwise to think, doing it harder, tougher, longer gets it better; nothing magical will happen, frustration is looming.
Why put in more efforts when you can always pause and check why things are not working? It does not take a big key to open a big gate; it takes just the right small correct key. Revelations of mysteries and secrets to needed answers produce greater results with relatively lesser efforts.
I was on a building site sometimes back as I observed the people involved in the whole process; from the general manager to the line managers down to the manual workers. Then I reasoned that those who carried out the job with the totality of their strength actually got least paid.
The line manager of a particular cluster of workers did not ‘lift a spade’ throughout my observation, he was just meandering round, instructing up and down, documenting and making calls, and will, at the end of the tedious building project, get more paid than those working and sweating under the heat of the scorching sun; the education of his mind in his qualifications had brought him more pay with less physical labour.
The answer is not always more work and efforts; you have done it over and over without result, maybe you should pause to investigate.
It is stack insanity to keep doing the same thing, the same way, and expect a different result.
Striving to push through a struggle as to struggle more and harder through greater struggle for a higher struggle is a recipe for a strangled effort. More effort can be a factor, but it is not always the answer.
The answer is discovering the secret through revelation which brings breakthrough with less efforts and greater results. Shalom!
