THE REVELATION OF GOD’S LOVE
As easy as it appears to love oneself; some people cannot. It therefore becomes difficult to “love your neighbour AS YOURSELF” when you don’t even love yourself.
And this usually stems from distorted body image, previous cruelty, notable situations that make you underprivileged, or maybe you have been hurt, cheated, misunderstood or slandered in the past, all these form your perception about yourself, compromising your self-esteem.
You thenceforth become threatened by someone else’s success, and by that, opening up your soul to anger as a defense mechanism.
But you need to leave that valley and understand that you are neither defined by your past nor the situations/happenings around you.
You need to come to terms with that because if you have been conquered on your inside, you are conquered on the outside already. How do you expect people to love you when you don’t even love yourself? Sounds funny when you want people to believe in you when you’re yet to believe in yourself!
Live from inside out. You are not a failure, you are a success. You don’t need to look like it to be it, just make sure you’re making progress on a daily basis. And start seeing yourself as the Lord sees you. This is not some form of empty psych or motivation.
You see, in my little life, I have seen some level of deprivation in favouritism of another, because of the other party’s social status. You know how unfair and painful that would be uhn?
My heart sank for about two weeks, hurting my innocence and fragility. A payback to get back at those involved was deep seated in my heart until the Holy Spirit blew it away with his gentle breeze and showed me greater things of heavier molecules.
Stop fighting, embrace the Holy Ghost. Only Him can break the power of flesh and negative emotions over your life; anger, hatred, strife, wrath, envy, etc.
You’re much more worth than this. And the revelation of God’s love makes you see yourself as He does. Do not be threatened by the rejection and lack of approval from men.
You see bah? The intentions of God are the most important, what He says is the real deal. Everybody is entitled to his/her own opinion they say, every other person’s ideology about you is just an opinion. And opinion does not equate fact! 1 John 3:1, 4:19; Jeremiah 29:11, 31:3.
